A new fish market set to open its doors at Al Khor

Minister of Municipality and Environment HE Mohammed bin Abdullah al Rumaihi has said that a new fish market will be opened at Al Khor within three months from now. This statement came out at the fortnightly Central Municipal Council (CMC) meeting which resumed on Tuesday, reported Qatar Tribune.

Rumaihi also considered the CMC's recommendations for promoting and expanding the existing fish markets, in addition to introducing new services there. The minister emphasised the ministry's constant support to the Council for the convenience and comfort of people.

Moreover, the Council called for imposing restrictions on trucks leaving construction sites with uncovered load, which exposes streets as well as commuters to damages and risks of sorts. The CMC also recommended opening separate rows for diesel trucks at fuel stations, especially those located on outskirts, to avoid congestion. The minister assured the CMC members of the ministry's commitment to look into the recommendations thoroughly and bring in more cooperation from all the concerned bodies in the government to assist the Council in their duties.

The dedication of CMC to look into the complaints of the people and their eagerness on providing the best services was praised by Rumaihi. He also conveyed thanks to the Amir HH Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al Thani for his generous support to the Council.
